What Was the Watergate Scandle?

The Watergate Scandal was a series of events that happened between 1968 and 1994.
A man named Richard M. Nixon was a republicican, also the president of the United Stats of America. He was 55 years old when he was president. Richard M. Nixon lost his presidency in 1960.
Nixon paid five people to go into the Watergate Hotel where some democrats had secret meetings about important information. The five men were arrested on June 17, 1972 2:30 in the morning for trying to spy on the democrat officials. In other words, RICHARD NIXON ABUSED HIS POWER AS A PRESIDENT.
